Under the patronage and the presence of H.E Minister of Tourism Mr. Avedis Guidanian and H.E the Italian Ambassador to Lebanon Mr. Massimo Marotti, U food has organized Lebanon Pizza Championship 2019 in its first edition with the attendance of The Honorable Trade Commissioner of the Italian Trade Agency in Beirut Mrs. Francesca Zadro, and the President of Syndicate of Owners of Restaurants, Cafes, Night-clubs & Pastries in Lebanon Mr. Tony Rami.

The Jury was made up of the 2 Italian Pizzaioli Mario Signoreile and Danilo Pagano, who attended from Italy specially for the event, the executive Chef Youssef Akiki from Burgundy restaurant and the professor Bassem Slim.

The first place winner was Chef Massimiliano Bugliesi from Via Roma restaurant, the second place winner was Chef Hassan Fakih from Zia restaurant and finally the 3rd place winner was Chef Roger Khawand from Les caves De Dar Azar.

A trip to Italy was offered to the first place winner and medals and trophies were offered for the 3 winners.
